I haven't read this book since I had to read it for English class in high school. Playing the game Assassin's Creed Odyssey inspired me to reread it. Can't say I have much interest in the current movie about the same subject, but the timing just worked out that way.

The low ratings of this book worry me a little, but so far I'm enjoying it. Stephen Baxter is fantastic at world-building, but I'm curious to see where this goes from the point I'm at right now.

My only disappointment is that after I'm done reading this, there will be no more Sayaka Murata books translated into English that I haven't read. She's easily become one of my favorite authors.
