I keeping getting drawn back into this story. I'll go to do something else and then think, "🤷🏽‍♀️ i can read one more chapter".

It's crazy, the writing is as magnetic as the Hollow sisters' weird powers.

I'm having such a hard time caring about the mom's flashback pov sections. 😑

The way she's written is so annoyingly accurate to how an edgy, internally poetic 16yo would act. And I don't even think the author did it 100% on purpose because sometimes the mom will say some modern slang that completely throws off the flashback.

You know what maybe Donovan isn't so bad, oof on Alex though.

Bro, Yinka better not end up with Donovan. I swear to god...

I've finally found a book that has a strong enough opening couple chapters and premise that I don't feel like I'm wading through boring setup to get to the good part!

Also, I love that all the chapters are 10 pages long. Makes it really easy to read just another 10 pages and feel like I'm making progress.
