I really like the ship in this but good lord, this book is so fucking exhausting.

Oh god, the language stuff in this is already genuinely awful. May it not take me out of the story entirely every time it happens...

Started this right before the pandemic began and then with everything going on, could no longer stomach reading about US foreign policy -- finally going back to it; wonder what happened this week to make reading about US politics somewhat more bearable again.

This book is really fucking stressful!!!

Only a quarter into this book and already it's so good I want to cry. If it stays like this, it's going to be an absolute favorite, I can already tell.

Literally everyone in this book is an asshole and I'm so close to giving up. Someone please tell me it gets better? I really liked You Don't Have To Say You Love Me, so this shouldn't be as awful as it is right now.
