i liked this but at the same time it was a weird experience getting to know the characters on a deeper level, opposed to the series. the book made me realize how flawed they both are, and at times i really couldn’t comprehend their actions and motivations. marianne shined through in the story for me, i always liked connell better but something about her resonated with me and left me thinking at times.

estoy 100% convencida de que la adaptación de este libro tiene que ser una de las mejores. so far, he sido capaz de imaginarme cada una de las escenas.
es súper interesante conocer el diálogo interno de los personajes, algo que en formato audiovisual no se logra.

this was cute! at this point i feel like ali hazelwood is just copy pasting the same plot and changing up the characters and story details, but guess what? ill it eat up every. single. time.

it was an entertaining enough book to listen to while i get ready in the morning. there is nothing particularly extraordinary about the plot, i found the female mc annoying at times and Dr. Dil was also kinda meh. i found it interesting to see the cultural dynamics of that community and it also led to some funny scenes. cliche? yes. mindless entertainment? also yes.

i didn’t like the ending? wtf was that way of interrupting the flow of things. maybe it’s realistic, maybe it happens more often that one would think, but it threw me off. i thought i knew what was coming but those news were a curveball. apart from that i really liked it, i enjoyed the romance, the friends to lovers trope and the genuine care for each other. maybe it dragged on a bit, but it was also a quick read

this was cute! i loved the concept of finding your soulmate that “easily” through science but it’s definitely an idea that is more complicated in reality that they paint it to be in the book. the romance was sweet, they said ily way to quick in my opinion tho. i liked the relationship between jess and her bff, juno’s speech and that whole set up was sooo cute, and a bit bold too. simple and sweet, a solid 4/5

i didn’t like this book that much :/ it felt too long, it had a shit ton of information but at times it felt like the story was just dragging on, and we barely saw much of the characters in was most interested about. the thunderhead gave me the ick, and the whole plot line related to the ending felt a bit out of place among the story line. i’m sad because i genuinely enjoyed the first two books and the premise.

idk if i enjoyed this one either! at this point the last two volumes have felt a little bit like filler story to get to a climax. nevertheless, that climax doesn’t seem to arrive. we are introduced to a new setting and a bunch of new characters, but to me the most important thing that happened here is that they teased a possible romantic relationship between Jesse and Seiji, i definitely didn’t se that one coming

i don’t really know how to rate this! i liked it and found it entertaining but at the same time there was nothing super remarkable about the plot, which just might make this a bit forgettable. i do have to admit that i was a bit shocked by the big reveal regarding *Steven* so yeah, points for that. it also felt a bit insta lovey which i don’t enjoy but it didn’t bother me as much (their parents are VERY chill)

THIS WAS SO GOOD! once it picked up it had me intrigued and gasping at all of the twists and turns in the story. i found the concept to be so interesting and it just kept evolving and adding different factors that made them even more interesting. and that ending? so so clever! i loved their scythe names and can’t wait to see how they start to wreak havoc in the scythedom. Loved Faraday and Curie, great characters.

im glad i have this book a second chance! i have to admit tho that the beginning and the end are kinda slow and tbh i saw the plot twist coming from miles away but it was still fun! my fave part was when they were corresponding with each other up until they met at the gala. nick was so charming. i also liked that it was very bookish of course (felt personally attacked when they said readers probably listened at 2x).

I think this is the vol. that I have enjoyed the least since it all took place in one same day and with a big portion of characters we didn’t know. I didn’t really get Seiji and his weird attitude, but the whole teamwork discourse was cute. And the last scene with Nicholas? Unexpected. I’m waiting on the romance, Dante and Bobby are cute, but I don’t know how to feel about Harvard and Aiden. Let’s wait !!!

i have to admit i'm a little bit obsessed with this story but definitely much more with the characters. i love seiji and im intrigued to see what's his deal with Jesse. i can't help but think there is some romantic tension between him & nicholas? idk, it's weird. i also love aiden for some reason, i feel like one of his fans. how the reserve position dilemma was resolved felt so wholesome. excited to see whats next!

this was so cute! i genuinely enjoyed the main characters banter and the enemies2friends2fake dating2lovers trope (which is weird for me). anyways, i feel like i relate a lot to Bailey on multiple aspects of her personality which was great. i also liked the multiple references to pop culture stuff. the romance felt credible and it developed very naturally, so chefs kiss for that. struggled a bit with the ending tho.

i LOVE these characters! they’re so much fun and aesthetically gorgeous! i have to admit this first volume exceeded my expectations, it had me gasping and feeling tense with the action scenes. i’m confused with bobby’s character but i hope that as time goes by they give us some explanations. eager to see what’s next in the story!

I’d never get tired of Nick and Charlie. They are just the cutest human beings in the whole world. Did this have a big intricate storyline? No. But I value A LOT (as a future child psychologist) how the author explains and just deals with some very sensitive and importante topics such as intimacy. It’s all so greatly worded I just wish people could communicate that way in reality. Can’t wait for the conclusion!

i liked this! i think i even liked it more than the first one probably character wise because i LOVED seeing all of the gang back together. it felt really nostalgic. story wise, maybe the first one was more intriguing as it was all a mystery, in this one it just felt like there was this one big task but i not much room for wondering. i listened to the last few chapters and that epilogue with sound effects was epic!

im so sad to realize that as more volumes go by, the less i like and have interest for this story. it was so good at the beginning. but idk, i feel like at least the last two volumes have been going around in the same direction (in circles). my fave character was Marko and I also liked Robot, and with them gone it just doesn’t feel the same. i wonder how long will the authors try to drag out the plot.

i liked it but i didn’t love it as much as i thought i would. i have to admit there were several moments were i was shocked by all of the plot twists and some stuff was quite clever on the authors behalf, but at the same time i’m not sure if i feel like the whole powers thing fits right in this story. there was not much elias-leia action and i missed it too. i’m intrigued to see how this next story line goes

tbh i listened to this book mostly as background noise. even though i enjoyed the first half a decent amount, it just started dragging a little bit. i have to admit the plot twist at the end was shocking, but i don’t know, i particularly didn’t care much about the characters and i also feel like they weren’t that deep. i am getting to the conclusion that i don’t particularly enjoy small town romances much

it started out pretty entertaining but as it went on idk, i just lost some interest. the story felt flat, i never felt like their relationship was seriously threatened by the camps boss and idk, nothing was really going on. they both had daddy issues and i feel like that was the most remarkable story line but i just couldn’t care less. it was a cute fast read tho.

i feel like this book is super niche and not for everyone but i LOVED the concept. john green is definitely a man who i find very inspiring, he is so intelligent and has a unique way of making even the most random stuff captivating. this book made me reflect on the value of little things and how even those can be so transcendent in the long run. *cue Jhon’s voice* i give The Anthropocene Reviewed 4 out of 5 stars
