Parks calling out that it is the teacher's who are war criminals is a great shout because I think Helen belives her hands are free of any blood with these children but she is a key part of the cruelty done to these children.

As much as I loved Nevada's books, for some reason the other characters are not holding me and I really like the idea of Diana and Augustine together and as individual characters.

The subplot about their exes getting engaged is so ridiculous becauze she went on one date with him, it is such a non-issue

This is a horror story in the sense that it is horrific, not horror in the sense that it is scary.

The pastor loves food and drink, eh. I wonder if he had another addiction that food supplants for him.

Hmm, not sure how i feel about this so far. Some of the stylistic choices are not working for me.
