Love that there's a weird Eddie - reading some of the sarcastic and scathing Eddie parts aloud to my Eddie. Start paying attention - there's always an Eddie who is either a bad guy or an idiot. 🤣

Loving this, which is no real surprise since Ms. Kenborn has such a flair for irreverent humor. It is reminding me that though I have been reading the stats now and then, I haven't watched my boys play a single game yet this year, even on tv. I really need to remedy that, but not before finishing this book that I'm finding so hard to put down. The suitcases under my eyes are all on you, Cora! 🤣

I know I have read this book before, realized it within the first 20 pages or so, but I can't remember much beyond the fact that I've read it before and that the assumed shooter wasn't. I think I know who was, but since it's all so foggy, definitely worth the reread. Karin Slaughter's books are pretty much always worth it. It's amazing how much I don't retain from book to book.

Absolutely loving everything about this ARC. Will have to go back and read book 1 in the series, but not feeling like I am missing much by not having read it first. Totally loving both the musician/artist hero and the very relatable heroine. The sense of humor is fantastic. Dammit, the h's dog gets major props too. So far this is a highest recommendations book for me - just taking a break to savor it longer.

Taking a break to see if Chevy made the Z28 in '69, as I didn't think they started that line until the mid to late 70s - I was thinking when they quit making the Berlinetta, but I could most certainly be wrong. Though the subject matter is a little difficult in places, this fast paced thriller has me absolutely enthralled!

I am a bit surprised to find I have suspended my disbelief and cynicism toward fantasy/sci-fi and am finding myself completely engrossed.
