Bookish Haven is on page 153 of 361 of The Belladonna Maze
Oh, for God's sake. Irritated, I folded the pages and returned them to my pocket. Drivel, all of it. I loved a good ghost story, I'd read The Haunting of Hill House and a good few Stephen Kings and I was always up for a horror movie, the more jump scares the better. This, however, was not a good ghost story.

Bookish Haven is reading The Glitch
Halfway across the book as the story seems to have potential. Am not giving up yet, although boredom has started to creep in. Wondering whether the glitch is the protagonist's experience(s), or the glitch is in the plot itself.

Author's grasp of the written word is way cool. How I wish the flow of the story is more smooth sailing than seemingly flat.

I am actually reading this novel for the first time; the record above was a glitch. Lana grows on you as the main character. She's been through some stuff, and trying to pull through it all; what an amazing lady. I admire her already.

I am kinda confused with the motivation of this story, or what it tries to achieve.

I am done with this book. It's like reading Cluedo, but in a book setting.

Bookish Haven is reading The Blue Guitar
Voracious readers should not contemplate a storyline like The Blue Guitar. It's subdued plot should not be blamed entirely on the character flaws of Oliver Orme, as he is mainly relating his tale; albeit in a narcissistic setting.
Readers should focus more on why he did what he did, rather than by judging his actions. Read with an open mind; choose this book, or leave it on the shelf. Don't judge it by the cover.

Love the author's narration so far. Just started reading, and loving it already. I enjoy reading the protagonist's first person account as she is wholesome and real. In it for more; check out this space.

Mr Collins sure has a potty mouth. Poor Charlotte.

Giving this book a chance of a read. Kind of wondering why Amazon has tons of fantastic and positive reviews whilst some of the reviews here are of 1 star and the likes. Tbc.

There must be something wrong with my literary taste if I ever find this book boring. In fact, am enjoying reading the story of "The Glowing Man" and The Golem tremendously. Finishing soon.
