I love/hate/love when my preconceived notions about an author are totally blown up by their writing actually being pretty good

Whole lotta nothing so far - listing things, repeating plot details in dialogue in case we missed them the first time, and the most stilted attempts at mimicking social media writing that I’ve read in a long time.

This is just so, so grim.
