well now I do wish I had reread the first two books right before picking this up again

every chapter read yields another page full of notes that will inevitably morph into an essay once finished reading this absolute masterpiece

Why must the worst happen to the most upright character? —the centuries-old question—why must the good people suffer and the wicked not at all? The best answer is usually “the story is not over.” 😭 but it’s so close

this is homework reading, but the topics of God, His death and suffering in the last several pages are actually very fitting for this weekend

Nate’s story hit me in the feels. Beautiful storytelling.
