Now to actually finish it without distractions pulling me away again or making me look like 🤥

The cover to this book should have been a dystopian-ish bridge instead.

Barely into it, and I want to cry...

So far, most of the stories carry more of an essence of a fairy tale retelling, then an actual retelling. The Girl Who Did Not Know Fear made my brain slightly explode in wonder as I finally caught on 😂

Some parts drag on.

The random povs from other people that will never be brought up again are pointless. They add nothing to the story. So far, I am still intrigued to know how the rest or the day unfolds and more about Mateo and Rufus. I think I should feel more sadness about this being their last day though. Shall see...

I don't know if I want to finish it... Can it get better?

It would be fantastic if it became more of a murder mystery, with great-grandma Gigi's diary journal pages taking more center stage. As the current character development makes no sense. A child rapist savior then raping, hmm wtf? The half ass attempt of trying to make the main characters sound mysterious? Ah, the manipulator, the shadow... stupid

'Once you accumulate enough regrets in life, they cease to hurt you. They are simply one more thing you collect, like age spots or ugly figurines. You barely even see them anymore.'

I'm delighted there's soo much more to solve and discover. Love this book so far, and the ghosts within the pages

So far so good, a few weird typo errors here and there which made me think I was going crazy, but it is what it is. Could also do without the constant baby doll sappiness, but still want to know what happens next?! I like the plot twists. Where's a sexy AF mountain man when I'm cold?! Chisled muscle on a cold day sounds swell, engulf me

I really like this book so far. Born to be enemies, feeling they are not destined to stay that way much longer. Good page turner, hard to put down

Never heard or even knew this book existed, needs more hype. Loved Cat's Cadle and Vonnegut hasn't disappointed here either.
