Ok, maybe my kids aren’t ready for this one yet. After 10 pages of very flowery writing, my kids don’t have a clue what’s going on and have called this book “boring”. Maybe we’ll come back to it in a year or two.

4 stars from my kids on this book. My daughter enjoyed the relationship of Ralph and Keith. My son says he like how the motorcycle seemed to operate like magic for Ralph.

Saw the movie but never got to reading the book. Until now. Thanks parenthood!

One of the best things about being a dad is reading to my son. Another great thing is getting to read books that I never took the time to do when it was age appropriate. This is one such book and we’re having a blast with it

I expected this to be more "sci-fi-y", and it was at first. I'm pleasantly surprised to find how thought provoking and philosophical it is.

Man, I'm having a lot of fun reading this book! This is how vampire stories are supposed to be written. None of this, "what if they were good and could fall in love?" crap. Vampires are supposed to be as King depicts them in this book. Cold blooded, heartless, remorseless monsters. I'm digging it

So far so good! Could NOT put it down today. I can't wait to find out more so that the prologue makes more sense

I've seen so many versions of this story from movies. I've been curious for a long time what actually went down. So far, it's a lot more violent than I imagined and Peter is more of a little punk than I thought.

It's ok so far. Right now I'm just watching this Shepard boy travel to a lot of places and meet interesting people but I'm still trying to figure out the hype. Perhaps I'll be enlightened by the end of it.

This book continues to break my heart and somehow keeps me turning pages for more. I guess that's the beauty of it.

There's been a lot of character introductions at this point. The scariest of which is Cathy Ames. She could mark a genre switch in this book to horror/thriller. She nuts!!

Bertie is the greatest addition to Scarecrows team. May even be more deadly than Mother!

Man, it's been a long time since I've read a Scarecrow book. The action started quick and DID NOT STOP. I'm loving this book. And is this French chick a new.love interest or what?
