While I do love these books and the escapism, the characters and the constellations of characters in the series start to feel very repetitive. I feel like the side characters are almost identical in the different books - with a few exceptions. The love interests also feel so similar and the protagonists are in love with them in an instant. I'd love to see something new with unique and truly memorable characters.

I figured this is the time of my life to finish this series - on pain meds and with a loss of apparently all my mind, being in quarantine.
Can I postpone reading this waste of paper for just a couple more seconds? I just read it to finish it and because the book was a present. I have to read it, it's been sitting on my shelf for years now... alone, scared, collecting dust ... like it should.
