Multiple character arcs spread over multiple years (from the post-Great War Roaring 20’s to mid/late 1930’s Great Depression) made this book a little hard to follow. The characters were likable, and the WPA boxcar tie in was unique.

It has been a while since I read a book that I simultaneously wanted to finish and quit reading. It’s hard to explain. I didn’t love this one.

This is a great resource for anyone wanting to downsize/declutter or wanting to move. There are agencies mentioned throughout the book that the author recommends for people who are not DIYers, but he also recommends tips and tools for people who will be taking on the tasks by themselves. This book is a resource for anyone, since we all have things we can/need to part with.

I cannot believe I actually finished this book. I found there to be no likable characters. When I was fully ready to quit reading it, I realized I was 80% finished and still hadn’t really latched on to the characters. I felt like I was too far in to quit. If I had known the ending and the characters from the beginning, I’d have never started. One star is too generous, so it gets zero stars from me.
