Ok I will concede that I'm liking Henry a lot more than I thought I would. I'm a bit on the fence about the book overall, some things are fun and well-done, some others definitely leave me a bit skeptical

Ok this is definitely giving Mary Sue a bit lol the FMC is apparently the most attractive and charming woman alive and no one can keep their eyes away from her. It's a bit much 🤣

I'm feeling very neutral about this so far. Some of the dialogue is fun, overall it flows well enough, but nothing is really happening. And even when it is, the style is so measured it's hard to feel particularly invested

This is alright so far, if a bit slow in the exposition. The dialogue flows nicely, but some points get info-dumpy. I do know the book is very long, but I hope the pace picks up a bit. In any case, I have two long train commutes today, so at least it'll keep me busy!

was reading this on the train and my god it's fucking DEVASTATING. might be one of the best fantasy novels i've read. also idk who's tagging it as romantasy, there's no romance at all.

I'm sorry but I forgot to mention the mmc described his own eyes as EVIL ORBS I am losing it 😭 he also talks like he just learned how to curse? This feels like a social experiment on what level of idiotic slop people will read and I am entertained for all the wrong reasons

Honestly hate reading this atp lol Entirely my fault because I didn't read the blurb or the reviews, just saw a post saying it was about a "creepy carnival" and was like, oh, sure! Spoiler: I shouldn't have done that. This is probably the WORST writing I've ever witnessed. Primary school level. I caught "pores" misspelled as "pours" and the syntax is just abysmal. We'll see if I can finish it 😂

I loved Radiance, so I have high hopes for this one because I know the author writes very well.

mc looks like an eldritch horror and just gobbled up someone like a juicy steak, i am into it already. pretty good writing so far too

apparently the mc eats people and then ends up in hell?? hello??? inject it into my veins please and thank you. also why aren't more books set in hell? demon lore is my favorite thing ever, please give us more (hopefully my expectations aren't too high lol we'll see!)

I need something fun but a bit dark, and I read the first book last year and it really worked for me. Hopefully this one is just as unhinged lol

I'm enjoying this so far, but I strongly disagree with the author's acceptance of self-diagnosing. I understand the socioeconomic obstacles to formal assessment (especially in the US), but medical guidelines exist for a reason, and I don't want the representation of autism to be diluted by teenagers trying to feel special. That only makes it harder for actual high masking autistic folks to be taken seriously.
