I hadn’t really caught on that this story is effectively a lockdown narrative (#ironic!) but I’m loving it so much and finding it so poignant how all the characters are experiencing these kinds of epiphanies and moments of true connection and grief as a result of being forced to stop and reflect by events outside their control. And ain’t that a metaphor for this year.

The number of Goodreads reviews that described this book as “non-stop action”. It’s a heist book and I’m 140 pages in and there’s been one heist.

Three different parental characters have different mystery illnesses though, which hmm after the second starts to feel a little lazy.

Real talk did Lindsay Lohan write this as Mary Sue self-insert fan fic?
