By all accounts, I should be enjoying this book, but it's dragging a little. I can't believe I'm only halfway through, the mystery just started which seems like it should have happened earlier, but everything else about what's happening seems like it should be at the end. Curious to see where it goes.

I really want the Marathon Reader bookmark, so rereading my favorite book via audiobook to get it. Even on 2x speed, it's 11 hours long haha

FINALLY. It's only taken 4.5 books for this slow burn to develop into a fire

I really appreciate McCready calling Mallory out for immediately dismissing ghosts when she's literally time traveled like 3 times now. Like, no, it's probably not going to be an actual ghost, but if time travel is real, maybe you shouldn't rule out ghosts so quickly.

The concept of this book is really clever

Read 1 chapter and I'm already hooked; I love these characters way too much lol

Switched to the audiobook for a while because I wanted something to listen to while knitting. This book is good, but it's pretty slow, and some of the characters I just don't care about at all.

Not enjoying this. They keep comparing AG to things marketed to teens and then saying AG is for girls 7 to 12. If it's for girls 7 to 12, why do you keep comparing it to things marketed to the 13+ crowd? Currently AG magazine is being compared to Cosmo Girl and Teen Bop because apparently magazines for children didn't exist? (Spoiler alert, Highlights magazine and Nat Geo Kids nee National Geographic World existed)

Finally found the straw that broke the camel's back with book: you can buy insulin over the counter. Probably not the specific type Saralinda's uses, but stuff that would be sufficient to manage her blood sugar for a day or two, definitely. They should be having a hard time getting the syringes to use the insulin (which are by prescription in NY state and aren't sold to under 18s regardless).
