This book is calling me tf out, but I expect nothing less from Emily Austin.

DNF at page 20. I didn't pick this book up in good faith; Peter Pan is my favorite book and I always hate retellings of it because they always miss the whole point of the book, so I got this to hate read. But so far, it's just as bad as I thought it would be, and I have better things to do with my time than hate read something I know I'm not going to like.

Loving this so far! I'm a sucker for books with nonhuman characters, especially space ships, and Moss is, in it's own words, delightful. Also this book is labeled as cozy, so all of the vibes that I'm getting about Moss being a *bit* too obsessive with Torian better be wrong because if Moss becomes the villain in this, I will riot.

This book is ridiculously cute; I want to live in the world so badly. I love all of the characters so much!

Listening to the audiobook on Spotify for the Summer Encore challenge bookmark. Really enjoying it so far, which is good because I need to listen to the whole thing in the next 2 days before the challenge ends XD

Don't get me wrong, I love Julie Andrews in the movies, she's amazing, but I will never forgive them for taking away the messy, narcissistic drama queen that Grandmere is in the books away from us. Genuinely it is a miracle that this woman has lived to be a million years old without someone murdering her. She is the most entertaining character in existence and we were robbed of seeing her on screen.

Why did I not know this existed, it came out 3 years ago??? Although I now understand why people didn't write a bunch of books about their experience during the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic because, holy shit, I don't want to read a book about Covid 😂 I'm only reading this because I love Mia so much!

DNF @ pg 15 because I got spoiled on the big twist ending. It's my own fault for being in a reddit thread about the book (although the commenter seriously should've used a spoiler tag ffs), but I'm still really grumpy about it and it killed my motivation to read it this week. Since I've barely started and it's not the books fault I don't want to continue atm, moving it back to Want to Read.

When I checked earlier this week, I was still 36th in line for this book from the library, so I really wasn't expecting the hold to come through yet. Guess this what I'm ready for the next week since there's still 125 holds behind me haha.

I love the FMC and love interest in this one so far! Also there's two types of reviews for this book, one thinks the romance is too problematic and the other thinks the romance isn't problematic enough. Considering that the problematic part of the romance is just the age gap and that the love interest is the FMC's brother's best friend, I think I'll probably side with the 'could've been more problematic' crowd.

Loving this so far, but I relate to Gilda so much that it's kinda hard to read lol

Continuing my Redwall listen-through! Mossflower is objectively one of, if not the best book in the series. It's also one I've read and listened to the most. It's reputation is definitely deserved; the plot is fast paced, the characters are delightful, and the writing is really good.

Loving this so much that I'm grumpy that I have to stop listening to it so that we can go out to eat lol

DNF @ chapter 6. I really, really want to read this, but there's too much dead mom stuff for me to handle right now.

Continuing with the audiobook from chapter 3 because I returned the physical book to the library like a week ago

This book went from 0 to 100 in the last couple of chapters. Hoping to finish it today!

Really enjoying this so far! The setting is eerie and very creepy. I love Noemí. Everyone at High Place is creepy af though. The only one I like is Francis and since my favorite character in the other book I've read by this author wound up being a villain so irredeemable that I can't even like him a love-to-hate sort of way, I don't have much hope for Francis.

Reading for the Challenge Faves challenge. I've only read one chapter, and so far the only thing that has happened is that the main character's mom died (off-screen). I can't complain that this happens because it's in the synopsis that I did actually read. Trying the book regardless because it sounds good. Need to have it back at the library in 5 days though, so might switch to the audio book eventually.

His Majesty ;-; why is everyone betraying Agnes ;-;

I am livid at Laurent. I was determined to hate him in the beginning since ACAB, but he managed to worm his way into my heart, that bastard. My first impression was right unfortunately. (Also Ambulance reminds me of Kirby and Agnes better get His Majesty back ;-; )

Love love love this book so far! I love Havelock so much. The relationship between him and Agnes reminds me of Mulder and Scully from X-Files, with Havelock/Mulder being the brilliant, brooding-but-somehow-still-a-golden-retriever, disorganized type, and Agnes/Scully being the practical, no-nonsense, willing-to-do-anything-to-get-what-she-wants type.

Still loving this reread. It's a really clever book! As each letter of the alphabet falls off of the statue, it stops being included in the book. I could definitely finish this tonight, but now 10 letters are missing and the book is getting more cumbersome to read, so I'm calling it for the night.

Rereading for the Staff Picks challenge. One of my favorite books of all time! I'd forgotten how bad Daniel is in the book--he's somehow even worse in the book than in the movie. Bridget is a mess who has no idea what she's doing with her life, and that makes me feel infinitely better about how much of a mess with no idea what to do with my life I am haha

Listening to the audiobook for the Fact or Fiction challenge since I don't think my hold for Angel Down will come through in time (22nd in line for it). I've read The Bewitching by this author and it was really good. First chapter has left me intrigued!

DNF-ing this for now. I like it and want to continue reading it, but it's long, I have the attention span of a squirrel, and it needs to go back to the library.

More update because I didn't have enough room in the other one, but this is the full cast edition of the audiobook. The author narrated which is amazing because Brian Jacques was a marvelous storyteller. But the chapter numbers are read by someone who sounds like she's literally on the verge of tears. It's a little concerning and takes me out of the story every chapter.

I know I've read this book at least twice before, but I barely remember any of it. (Literally the only thing I do remember is what's going to happen to Rose at the end 😭 ) It's really fun so far! I love getting to actually know Martin--he's literally considered a saint in the later books, so seeing him humanized (mouse-ized?) is so fun and so different from how he's portrayed in the Redwall future.

Trying to listen to all of the Redwall audiobooks. I've attempted this multiple times but never completed them, maybe this time I will? 😂
