Really enjoying this so far! The setting is eerie and very creepy. I love Noemí. Everyone at High Place is creepy af though. The only one I like is Francis and since my favorite character in the other book I've read by this author wound up being a villain so irredeemable that I can't even like him a love-to-hate sort of way, I don't have much hope for Francis.

Reading for the Challenge Faves challenge. I've only read one chapter, and so far the only thing that has happened is that the main character's mom died (off-screen). I can't complain that this happens because it's in the synopsis that I did actually read. Trying the book regardless because it sounds good. Need to have it back at the library in 5 days though, so might switch to the audio book eventually.

I am livid at Laurent. I was determined to hate him in the beginning since ACAB, but he managed to worm his way into my heart, that bastard. My first impression was right unfortunately. (Also Ambulance reminds me of Kirby and Agnes better get His Majesty back ;-; )

Love love love this book so far! I love Havelock so much. The relationship between him and Agnes reminds me of Mulder and Scully from X-Files, with Havelock/Mulder being the brilliant, brooding-but-somehow-still-a-golden-retriever, disorganized type, and Agnes/Scully being the practical, no-nonsense, willing-to-do-anything-to-get-what-she-wants type.

Still loving this reread. It's a really clever book! As each letter of the alphabet falls off of the statue, it stops being included in the book. I could definitely finish this tonight, but now 10 letters are missing and the book is getting more cumbersome to read, so I'm calling it for the night.

Rereading for the Staff Picks challenge. One of my favorite books of all time! I'd forgotten how bad Daniel is in the book--he's somehow even worse in the book than in the movie. Bridget is a mess who has no idea what she's doing with her life, and that makes me feel infinitely better about how much of a mess with no idea what to do with my life I am haha

Listening to the audiobook for the Fact or Fiction challenge since I don't think my hold for Angel Down will come through in time (22nd in line for it). I've read The Bewitching by this author and it was really good. First chapter has left me intrigued!

DNF-ing this for now. I like it and want to continue reading it, but it's long, I have the attention span of a squirrel, and it needs to go back to the library.

More update because I didn't have enough room in the other one, but this is the full cast edition of the audiobook. The author narrated which is amazing because Brian Jacques was a marvelous storyteller. But the chapter numbers are read by someone who sounds like she's literally on the verge of tears. It's a little concerning and takes me out of the story every chapter.

I know I've read this book at least twice before, but I barely remember any of it. (Literally the only thing I do remember is what's going to happen to Rose at the end 😭 ) It's really fun so far! I love getting to actually know Martin--he's literally considered a saint in the later books, so seeing him humanized (mouse-ized?) is so fun and so different from how he's portrayed in the Redwall future.

Trying to listen to all of the Redwall audiobooks. I've attempted this multiple times but never completed them, maybe this time I will? 😂

Pausing this for now. The plot is too complex for me to fully follow in audio, so I've put a hold on the physical book from the library, but I'm 22nd in line so it might be a bit before I get it.

Listening to the audiobook for the Facts or Fiction challenge. It's okay so far.

Amitsugu is a cinnamon roll, emphasis on sin lol. He's definitely going to betray Davi, which isn't surprising considering we met him as the scheming advisor to a ruler who was playing both sides with the ruler and his estranged daughter and then led a plot to get them both killed so he could take over. So no way he's staying loyal to Davi, especially since she already betrayed him once.

I love Amitsugu so much. I don't trust him at all, but I love him.

Listening to the audiobook for the Worlds Away challenge. Time loops can be kinda hit or miss for me, but I'm really enjoying this one so far! Davi is a lot of fun and the book is very funny and irreverent with Davi save scumming her time loop in order to get ahead.

Really liking this so far! Nolan and Harper's fight from the end of the previous book resolved a lot faster than I thought it would though.

So excited for this one! It's a 7-day library book, so I need to read ~4-5 chapters a day to stay on track.

Reread for the Staff Shelves bookmark of the Goodreads Summer Reading Challenge. I remember really loving this one.

Mr Rochester is still a terrible person but I still love him lol

By all accounts, I should be enjoying this book, but it's dragging a little. I can't believe I'm only halfway through, the mystery just started which seems like it should have happened earlier, but everything else about what's happening seems like it should be at the end. Curious to see where it goes.

I really want the Marathon Reader bookmark, so rereading my favorite book via audiobook to get it. Even on 2x speed, it's 11 hours long haha

I really appreciate McCready calling Mallory out for immediately dismissing ghosts when she's literally time traveled like 3 times now. Like, no, it's probably not going to be an actual ghost, but if time travel is real, maybe you shouldn't rule out ghosts so quickly.
