The food in this book is all very familiar, although this is about people of Caribbean descent in East London.

This reads almost like fiction. The dubious morals and sheer hubris of the hedge fund managers being discussed are so over the top I almost forget I am reading about the people who drove the US economy into the ground in 2008 and then walked away from all the consequences.

Easily one of the most concise books I have read around habits and goals.

Interesting start, but already I wish someone had made her break the chapters down into smaller sections.

Not touching this until book 6 is out.

I am almost done with this, just need to finish "N or M", but it's a Tommy and Tuppence Beresford mystery and as sleuths they don't hold me the way Miss Marple or Poirot does.

Massively bored by the love triangle storyline.

Good job on Towards Zero, but I was able to suss out whodunnit (rare occurrence with A.C. for me) just not howdunnit. Now for "Sparkling Cyanide"!

Starting with Towards Zero.

Fine debut effort. I was leery because of the teen-aged protagonist, but so far she is well-developed, along with the story.

Basically, every main character in this book is either a psychopath or psychotic. This author scares me now.

What an unbelievable, insane read!

I don't usually like first person narrative, but it is working in this book. I am intrigued by this dual plot line.

Really liking the practical aspects of this book: it doesn't just leave you wondering how to apply mindfulness to your daily professional life, each section includes "Mindfulness in Action" strategies for practicing what you have read.

On page 32, looking forward to diving into the mechanics of Mindful meditation. Yet another "career/self-development" read for 2014.

I keep losing the thread of this one, but have finally progressed far enough that it feels like things are happening.

Motivation 2.0 needs an overhaul!

Introduction is holding my attention.

Been a while since I read Scarpetta novels, and oddly enough the "event" that caused me to quit reading the series is now being explained in the one I decided to start up again with!

About a third of the way through, and putting this one on pause. Feeling very letdown with the current progress, or lack thereof, of the story. Characters are mired down in petty, aimless wanderings, and I am almost...bored. I don't necessarily need a battle, but even the scheming endemic to book 4 was better than this tangential disarray!

Love the pacing of these medieval mysteries, Peter Ellis captures the time perfectly.

Almost afraid to finish this one, it's main character is so much a loose cannon, I can't believe he actually will catch the killer.

Wait, what?!

Ahh now where is this going?

Couldn't finish this one without book 5 in hand, totally immersed in this universe now!
