God, this shit is so good. Everything that I wanted (but did not get) out of the Maidens and more

So far this is not profound in the way I would want it to be…

The best speculative fiction I have read in some time

It’s already 5 stars and I haven’t finished yet

So far I am finding this narrative vehicle to be meh, but time will tell

It’s giving Sri Lankan Lincoln in the Bardo

I can’t buy in to these characters at all, there isn’t enough depth to them. I like the concept, now that I know what the moral dilemma is, but it took 2/3 of the book to get there. Great writing, bad plot.
