Very interesting!

I stopped reading this because I didn’t care for it, and I bought all three kindle books!

I just finished The Drowned World: A Novel (50th Anniversary Edition) and gave it 4 stars.z

I just finished Lexicon: A Novel and gave it 4 stars. The title gives the story away. An organization controls people be the language they use. It is about persuasion and forcing people to do things, even kill themselves. Yes, may books may do this, by this one is different in how they school their agents to persuade people. Of course, there is a special word that helps them accomplish this.

I just finished Slow Cooking for Two: A Slow Cooker Cookbook with 101 Slow Cooker Recipes Designed for Two People and gave it 5 stars. Good, easy recipes with lots of tips. Recipes are for every part of a meal, though I would pick one dish for the slow cooker. Recommendations as to what to have with your meal are included.

I just finished Churchill: The Unexpected Hero and gave it 4 stars.i always thought Churchill was seen as a hero. He was not seen that way before WWII. After the war, it seemed that the English in particular thought he was anxious to get into another war. He worked best in that sort of environment. Fascinating look at him.

I just finished Changed in the Night and gave it 4 stars. Net resting story. Lots of symbolism. She believes she was abducted by aliens. She killed her twin brother when they were four. Her mother never recovered, she feels lots of guilt. A coming of age book with a twist.

I just finished Changed in the Night and gave it 4 stars. An odd story. She was abducted by aliens, but can't get others to believe her. Her mother and an uncle also had contact with aliens. She is trying to find herself. Her twin brother died when they were playing when she as very young. She feels responsible for his death. Her mother never recovered from his. She has a fantasy life.
