Samantha Warren is reading Blood of Requiem (Song of Dragons, #1)

29% through. Loving this book. The characters are enjoyable, the storyline is easy to follow. I absolutely hate the villain but think there might be something more to his so-called daughter. I'm on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next!

This book is horribly sad. Children should never, ever be put it this type of situation. I can take a lot of violence in books and movies, but I really hate it when children, old people, or animals die. It makes me awfully sad.

Samantha Warren is on page 73 of 374 of The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)

Liking it so far. The tense is a bit different and hard to get used to at first, but now it doesn't bother me. Very much a The Lottery meets Most Dangerous Game novel. It actually reminds me a bit of the newest Predator movie, too, where a bunch of people are thrown into an arena of sorts and must try to survive. Strange comparison, I know. :)

The writing is entertaining, but so far it's been extremely predictable. A lot has happened, but nothing that really stands out. And the guy so far is waaay too perfect. I'm waiting for the plot twist.
