Rereading before the new movie!!

I forgot how intense the Camp Kaboom flashback was.

Appropriate to be reading (listening) to a book about a wizard and witches this time of year!

HOLY SHIT. Why? I thought they were allies!

Hmmmm, not sure how I feel about this one.

Nesta is still the most intriguing, but seeing from Azriel’s POV…I begin to understand the legion of Az fans.

So, stupidly early gut reaction to Alex: strong Lift-type vibes! I wonder if Alex has an appetite to match.

One of my favorite moments of the entire Dresden Files series just happened. Harry, you’re not alone. Plus, Thomas’ slight rephrasing of 1 Corinthians 13 is beautiful.

Lara Raith’s debut!! Another of my fave “grey” characters in the series. Plus MOUSE AS A PUPPY.

Yeah!! First appearance of the Denarians! Nicodemus is one of my favorite villains in the series.

These GraphicAudio audiobooks are so much fun!!

Michael!! This is the first book where Michael Carpenter appears. One of my fave side characters in the Dresden universe.

Holy shit. Listening to the GraphicAudio version of MacFinn’s loup-garou attack on SI headquarters was insane. Incredibly well executed and scary as hell.

Whelp, we’re going in to Halloween wizard-style. Not a bad thing. Listening to the full-cast dramatic audiobook, and it’s pretty damn good!

I remember on my first read loving the islands. But boy are they all bat shit crazy. The pantheon of gods in this world all seem pretty fucked up. But that’s true with most religions, right?

The race with Gluteus driving was awesome. I can so vividly imagine it (and hear it; who doesn’t love Rob Zombie’s “Dragula” song? Dr. Metcalf was right. It was perfect for that race.) And the fallout from Carl and Donut appearing on Plenty of Plenty? Chaos. Oh, and Eris herself…that bitch be crazy.

Yay! The best parts of this book are about to begin. I LOVE getting to visit the isles and leave Basgiath and Aretia behind for a while.

I love Dr. Metcaf! And the Ministry of Bloodletting, in the Weinermobile! I hope Tobias Forge reads this series while he’s on hiatus.

And when I finish this? Guess I’ll restart the series again. Yeah, I joined a cult when I started this series, I just didn’t know it at first.

Donut needling Stalwart is pure gold.

I’ve forgotten how slow the beginning of this book is, but knowing what’s coming makes up for it.
