I adore the camaraderie and the refusal to break of Hunt, Ruhn and Baxion in the Asteri’s dungeons. And the Hind leading the breakout of the three is such an epic scene!

I just adore the found family in this book. Love it!

Well, that ritual was interesting! Strangely, I like Callum a little more now.

These characters are interesting! None of them are crazy likable (except maybe Nico) but they are full of depth and different motivations. All are incredibly intelligent, and their interactions are full of sparks. And then there’s magic. :)

Listening to the audiobook, read by the amazing Travis Baldtree! Straight reading was hitting a little too close to home, so I’m listening instead.

Aelin, you do not yield. Holy shit I had forgotten how intense this book is, right from the start.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK IN THE SERIES (just a smidge past Empire of Storms and Queen of Shadows). I still maintain that I want an entire series set in the Southern Continent.

Unpopular opinion: I LOVE the novellas. Though they make me despise Arobynn Hamel even more.
