The chapter about his relationship with Ted Turner was so fucking sweet.

This is like George Saunders for Dudes. Every story kinda feels like they came out of scraps from McBride’s various writers rooms over the past decade. Which isn’t to say it’s bad, I just already know these characters. And none of them make me feel the way Saunders in his prime did.

I should have read this after the Barry Diller book, they bleed over a lot and I still don’t fully understand who ran QVC
