"Bunny watched a man flip the bird at his own ear." This book is making me laugh out loud like a maniac.

"On the upside, Bunny no longer found himself possessed of the awful sense of unfounded foreboding that had gripped him since he’d stepped through the gates of Longhurst Prison. Now it had been replaced with a very real sense of justified foreboding."

Detective Inspector Duffy narrated by Gerald Doyle, how much I miss them.

For the moment, laughing out loud in public.

So the premise of this book is that a human woman kills a faerie and, in punishment, she's taken from her abusive family and abject poverty to live in a beautiful palace surrounded by luxury where she's given all she wants. How dare they!

“Gaining equality with any of you would be a staggering demotion.”  Avenant scoffed. 😂😂😂

I´m so very confused, not even Gerald Doyle is saving the day.

Reading for the book club. So far I'm struggling.

"The Tower of Babel is a Biblical symbol of humans divided by language, but language differences are a source of richness and need not be a caus of pain or confusion. Conflict is caused instead by othe factors, such as group identification and chauvinism." Pg. 127. More than one should be reading this.

I'm not smart enough to keep up with the graphic novel. I may need the kindergarden version of this.
