Eh. I'm mostly reading this book for the sake of finishing it right now. I don't think this sequel was necessary, and I don't like how there's been a massive detour from the plot that is STILL going on and I am halfway through.

Bad news, I have to pause Bedeviled for the time being so I can finish this before I lose my library copy. Good news, there was an in depth recap at the beginning, and I am so grateful for it.

This is so fun. Never once have I been waiting for something to happen; something is always happening and making me want to keep reading "just one more chapter"

I didn't *have* to reread this but I really wanted to before the last book comes out on Tuesday. This is such an entertaining series.

I got sucked into the story so fast. Over 100 pages done in one sitting and I still have the itch to keep reading! I hope this ends as well as it started.

The end is near!

Maisie is a bit of a wet blanket. She's acting like Nate is a stranger when they have been best friends since they were kids. She let's everyone walk all over her, and she has no real opinion of her own.

Arvelle has no agency at all, which is annoying. She's supposed to be this bad ass fighter who was a little rusty, but so far, any win she's had is because someone saves her. She always ends up critically injured too, which leads her to be incapable of saving herself.

Stark has some major anger issues. Don't get me wrong, I *love* a brooding asshole who hates everyone, but Stark has no personality outside of him being angry. I've read other MMCs that were raised to be killers who had more dynamic personalities.

Ooh, I like this. It's creepy but not too scary for a wimp like me.

A thirty page chapter?! In this economy??
