Cloak and Dagger kind of suck in these early appearances. Like, I get y'all are traumatized teenagers, but this is the New Mutants. *Everyone* is a traumatized teenager. One of them grew up in literal capital-H Hell.

You ever notice how emergency medical care is always romantic in genre fiction? There's nothing remotely warm or pleasant about urgent, blood-soaked battlefield medicine in real life, but the trope still works.

Anyway, this is just a long-winded way of saying that I'm quite enjoying this book.

About halfway through book 1, I vowed that Tamsyn would never make me like Harrow.

Fast forward to now, and I've decided Harrow should murder every other character in the series and retire somewhere...well, not warm and sunny; she'd hate that. Somewhere dark and quiet. Kill them all, Harrow!
