This has been an unexpected surprise of a banger of a story!!!

Despite this being President Snow, I rather like this story. Probably more then the original trilogy somehow.

This. Is. Madness!
But good cuddly madness. Sometimes. But sometimes it swings swords around in bloody arcs. Sooo good

Now this makes me wonder about the first ever Hunger Games and how the concept was even thought about 10 years ago. Prequel of the prequel maybe?

This book is not what I expected. It’s good. And not “Good for Hunger Games”. It’s just good.

I wasn’t going to read this. But then there’s a movie and now I feel like I have to read it. And so far it’s actually pretty good…so I’m happy sad…as with this I am not reading 5 books at one time and I was trying so hard to not do that.

I bought into the hype. I did it. I also got one of those editions with the blacked out edges so…HA!

I just know this is going to be a banging close to the series. Time travel introduced is a nice spin on things.

Maybe it’s just me but this constantly going back in time to tell a story that’s not this ka-ter’s story is becoming annoying.

Last book it was Delgado.
Now it’s Callahan…I mean I love to see Salem’s Lot mini sequel, but…

Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell story was pretty solid. I really like the ideas of how different each world is in Cosmere and how they all are a part of the universe. The shades concept is intriguing. My only issue is: too short. I just don’t seem to be able to make myself enjoy short stories as much as I do novels.

Herbert continues to wordsmith this story to perfection. Certainly not for the feint of heart but spiritual insights that he’s bringing to this book facilitate hours of thinking about life, universe, our existence. It’s as philosophical and theological as it can get. A story that debates the true meaning of life. I’m fascinated.

Why...is the White Sand only partly included...beats me. All the other stories are complete. White Sand: let’s give you 1/3 of the thing. Seems reasonable.

I’ve got to say that the short stories in here aren’t really it for me. Although Sanderson wrote them as random side pieces for various games etc etc so it makes sense.
Maybe White Sand will be better.

I can’t believe in saying this, but if you’re looking for a great book on change leadership...look no further. Deep insights on human nature and change masked as a Sci-Fi novel. Book 3 so far is every bit as great as the first 2

It is time to get things going. Let’s see how Book 2 of “Mistborn” goes. There are so many questions...

Strangely addictive. Definitely thought provoking. Magically...logical.

I’ve got to say “Emperor’s Soul” caught me very much off guard. It is different. Very different. And it does not disappoint. I find myself fascinated by this story.

Let’s give some horror a try. Should be perfect for gloomy winter days.

There’s always a moment when I start a new epic fantasy series and I think to myself...but why? But then a whole new world beckons and I take small unsure steps through the portal and keep flipping the pages.

Figured might as well pick at this mammoth of a series so I don’t have to play as much of a catch up as I’m playing with the Wheel of Time! With “Rhythm of War” out now all these pages aren’t reading themselves, are they?

This reads like a fairy tale. Which, of course, it is. But still...like a really long fairy tale. With pirates in it.

Reads like a true fairy tale, which, of course, it is! Although I do find myself patiently waiting when the familiar characters inevitably show up :)

It’s been a long time since I last visited the land of Oz. Since April of 2019 to be exact.
Sometimes I still can’t believe how many Oz books there are.
Anyways. Let’s go!

The never ending cosmic continuity is a mind boggling, scary thing. Especially if it includes whoever or whatever we consider a creator to be. Or! Or! Or! What if our universe is part of the molecules that make up someone’s, oh I don’t know, foot?
