Monsters! Magic! Mazes! This stuff is great.Why doesn't anyone write this anymore?

I am particularly impressed by how well the characters are established as interesting people really quickly. I really like that.

"This army,these poor creatures of England-- their king is dead. You promised them a queen. She better be comming-- or there it'll be hell to pay, Gruagach-- and your head to roll for it."

Such big words for a little angry hedgehog with a teeny tiny spear.

Nice to once again read something were the plot doesn't crawl at a snails pace and stuff actually happens.

*flip, flip, flip, flip, flip..."

Chapter 10, still no real signs of plot. All the protagonists are kids. I doubt I'll be finishing this one.
