Going to put this one on an indefinite hold. I can't seem to care about the characters and that's not a good sign for me. I will try later as a lot of friends say it really is worth reading.

I found it too hard to follow and read this heavy tome so I bought the audio version. I am thoroughly enjoying it now.

Early Christmas Prezzy!

Second eye operation done this morning and I'll be able to get new glasses in about 8 weeks. I'm so excited. Most of my books have been audio this year but I still got to physically read a few.

I'm finally into the book itself! The introduction of this edition literally kept putting me to sleep.

Yay I finally found the book. It got put away before Christmas by accident.

Finally getting some interesting stories of some of the average people involved in the fight but most of this book still reminds me of slogging through dry college history books,

A difficult read. I have had to do a lot of googling so far. The author assumes you know all the areas of Paris and the Palace as well as the some French terms.

Time to add something of a lighter fare.

I've been on a rereading kick lately so there's very little to update but it may lead to some reviews of lost favourites.

I'm still working my way through this as it's not an easy read for me. I find myself having to constantly refer to the notes as I know little to nothing about most of South America's political history. I am, however, finding it well worth it.

I have no idea why it's taking me such a long time to read this book. The writing is pretty solid and I like a good mystery but I have to admit I'm not a fan of courtroom drama and that comprises a third of this book so far.

This was my Christmas read and I forgot to add it to my 2015 list.

I only hope I can find the rest of the books in this tetraology.

This is going to be a hard one to rate. One minute I love it and the next I want to throw it across the room.

I've tried to start this book a few times and for some reason it just returned to the shelf. After many changes in my own life I decided to try it again and I'm very glad I have.

Found it! I'm so glad because this is a great read so far.

This book is on hiatus until I find where I put it.

I am going to try and make this the year I return to reading. That's if life will allow it this time.
I miss all my friends (both the books and my one's here.)

On hold untilI'm in the right frame of mind for it.
