Reading 'Fruit Fly,' thoughts so far: not only is the protagonist a straight cis white woman, but this seems to be the target audience as well. I don’t see much in this book that would challenge, teach, surprise or shock an average gay man. The characters are one-dimensional. M is a fake. L is a gay drug addict. Fine, we get that in the first 100 pages. I hope Silver takes them to a more interesting place.
