Stacey is finished with The Thursday Murder Club (Thursday Murder Club, #1)
Struggled with this one. I've found it completely disjointed and honestly a bit of a snoozefest. Not sure what the hype is about. It's a DNF for me. Maybe I'll be more hyped if I end up seeing the planned movie, but for now, it's a no from me.

The concept is great, the main character is not.
I'm really struggling to enjoy this book because Ella from Ohio is a really, I mean, REALLY dislikable character.
I don't believe my final review (once I force myself to finish it) will be very enjoyable, which is unfortunate.

I'm on chapter 3, and I'm already struggling with it. Julia is one of my favourite narrators, but is she going to be one of my favourite authors?
I'm not sure.
So far, the main protagonist, Ella, is very unlikable, and I'm not sure if it's going to get any better.
Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Stacey is on page 50 of A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail
Currently halfway through this book and I'm happily amused. While the narrator sounds like he belongs in a 1950's American sitcom, his pace and tone convey the wit and humour so well.
I have laughed out loud several times, my favourite moment so far, was when one annoying hiker was asking one of our protagonists what his star sign was, his reply "cunnilingus", to which she replied, she didn't know that one. Such fun!

Stacey is starting The Apollo Murders (Apollo Murders, #1)
The author was on the project, and he sounded like an interesting character. He mentioned the words space and books and I looked him up on Audible where it said this first book was narrated by Ray Porter..... and that was all the encouragement I needed.
I love Ray Porter's narration, so I'm really looking forward to starting this one!

Currently on Chapter 5 and I can't believe just how much I am enjoying this book. It's fresh and completely captivating. Ray Porter makes this book personal. Absolutely loving it and not sure how long I'll take to finish as I'm savoring every moment of it.

Finding it a bit slow paced, will persevere because I like the characters so far, but god help me, I might fall asleep soon.

As an original, I had great hopes for this audiobook. While the cast was brilliant, I found the story line a bit all over the place and hard to follow and the ending rather abrupt.
It's not one I would recommend being able to simply drop and pick up again, rather it'd need someone who is a consistent reader/listener, so might be good for cross country drives etc.

I am really struggling with this book. I wanted to love it soooooo much, but Jainey's constant internal monologue is driving me batty and am I the only one seeing ALL OF THE RED FLAGS with Quinn?
It seems almost a very dom/sub relationship, but I feel like Jainey is a blind or unaware participant.
I think the characters have so much potential, but think the story would have benefited from multiple perspectives.
