Book club made me do it. Might have to stop here. Too much for me at the moment.

I do love a sad story but this is extremely grim. With what is already happening in the world, perhaps unnecessarily so.

My husband told me he doesn’t like it sometimes when I read books. Because I get too intense. This book is perhaps the saddest most intense book I have ever read. WHY DID I WAIT TO READ IT WHEN I WAS A MOTHER. I am fighting tears every minute.

I’m already absolutely wrecked by this book why am I doing this to myself

Mindy condescendingly says she hopes her old best friend, now a housewife drowning in obscurity probably, has joined a knitting circle. Also, who has time to waste knitting scarves, what an absurd hobby.

Me listening innocently: first of all, how dare you (to quote kelly kapoor). Way to bully me through my earbuds, in my own home jeez.

Too much explaining, get to the good stuff already.
