So far, this textbook has proven to be surprisingly fascinating. While the first half covered conventional basics of writing such as argumentation and analysis, the later chapters are focused on more specific issues. For example, one chapter is written about poverty, while another may be exploring issues of modern racism. The book remains interesting, and the essays are both informative and well written.

Sor far, the book has focused not only on the practice of effective text comprehension but also on the value of going beyond conventional expository understanding when reading. Where other texts often place emphasis on simply comprehending the meaning of a passage, this book has focused on understanding and reviewing the text from the perspective of both an interested reader and a critical analyst.

Once again, All Quiet on the Western Front remains satisfying while reinventing its message and story a multitude of times. A gripping war story is great, but one that manages to retain suspense and intrigue through rural villages and hospital trains is amazing. I've had a hard time putting the book down nearing the final act, and it's consistent diversity of story is guaranteed to keep me reading to the very end.

Reaching the approximate middle section of the book, I continue to deeply enjoy and engage with the author's writing, as his piece remains excellent, while the subject of which he writes is just as consistent and focused as it is evolving and developing. It amazes me just how well the story of this young soldier can be a gripping account of what war truly is, while simultaneously developing into a polished narrative.

As I have read further into this book, it has only become more fascinating and more dark. Where I began astonished at how young the main character's friends were when they joined the war, I am now reading and thinking about how young they were when they died beside him. I am greatly enjoying my reading of the book, and so far love the increasingly relevant theme of children being sent to fight other men's war.

I have only just begun this book, and I already enjoy it's writing style and the stark realism each page alludes to. The themes of exploitation and horror the book so elegantly bases it's characters on is both reinforced and twisted when you realize that the book is a World War 1 book written from the perspective of German soldiers. This unique choice greatly elevates the book both in originality and intrigue.

While the book has significantly slowed down, it continues to provide occasional insights that continue to intrigue. Since my last update, the book has somewhat improved with more recent and relevant events, such as the ongoing mass extinction of bats in the Eastern US. As of now, Unfortunately, the book remains somewhat boring and I am at this point simply reading to finish it.

Since my most recent update, the pace of the book has steadily fallen in tandem with my interest. Unfortunately, this book has been slowing down for a while and I have been having a hard time staying invested and attentive while reading it. As for why it feels this way, I would blame it on repetition. The Sixth Extinction has continued to just review and explain past extinctions, and hasn't really changed at all.

90 pages later, the book has so far completed a history of three wildly separate extinctions: the ongoing extinction of amphibians in the present day, that of the Great Auk, and the scientific upheaval surrounding the disappearance of the dinosaurs. I am most fascinated by the history surrounding scientific theories of extinction itself, and what it meant when the world understood that species were not eternal.

I decided to read this book to see how it’s message about the future of humanity has changed since I read four years ago, and it’s already displayed how well it’s impact has aged. I have only just begun, but it is already clear that the writing is still captivating, and uniquely relevant after just 4 years. I am greatly interested in reading more, and not only

This book is very interesting and I love because it so deeply views what life is like for immigrants of developing and war-torn countries.
