Only reading this because it's the author of that one book right now I can't recall but was hella good (don't judge, in this moment I'm having a headache).

Ok so, apparently, this is a world that was already created in another series of this same author, and this is a a) new characters or old characters and their perspective while other things from other books happen simultaneously or b) new characters within a parallel universe.

DO NOT JUDGE. ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS RATED IT FIVE STARS SO I WILL READ IT.

I had forgotten that this is the author of "seven realms" and that she writes in a "slow burn" kind of way (but in a nice connotation). I dropped seven realms because I didn't like the heroine. She was spoiled and self-centered. I'm hoping this time the story will balanced in terms of both character's relatable-ness in spite their past. So far, only expectations can be expressed...

This girl isn't my type of heroine from the summary... I hope the ratings live up to the book.

I just realized I read Chicagoland vampires and I liked it up to... I think it was book 3? When the romance drama got ridiculous and I felt like my hair was falling off from frustration and annoyance. But it was a very addicting series... Hopefully this will be as good.

and the quest to find a book series that I genuinely like and can binge read continues.....

Everything about the idea of this book is great, but why is the execution so... Plain and meh?

It was very short but sweet. However, because it was so short It felt incomplete. I'm all in for reading the sequel ASAP though!!

3.5, bordering four but some parts seemed kinda tame and Aladdin was kind of a meh love interest.

I have damn read it all. They did not just DO IT in the air... While frigging flying. This book is corny and ridiculous as hell. And here I am, unwilling to put it away. What is wrong with me.
