I have read three or four chapters, but I really can’t get into this book. I know it’s won tuns of awards, but I’m going to give it up and go on to something not sci-fi.

D. Colwell is 75% done with Zero at the Bone (Zero at the Bone, #1)

I have been impressed with this book. It has been an enjoyable read; sensible and believable with likable characters. But unfortunately at the 75% point the author came up with a terrible case of the 'stupids'. So ridiculous and dumb that I actually had to quit reading; I couldn't go on because I couldn't ignore the bad writing. I'm going to try to get back to this later.
