Morrison's style of writing is disjointed as she starts chapters in different time period-some go past-some way past so is hard to get a feel on what is really going on in novel.

The amount of backstabbing & lying is unbelievable as everyone is trying to save their egos.

While I have trouble rooting for the main character(wow is she messed up) from pages 120-140 is spine tingling writing on the interview with the shrink who may or may not be the serial killer.

The first meeting of Grant & Lee in Mexico so dripping with foreshadowing.

Already a five-star read. Robert E. Lee is shot at for the first time & General Winfried Scott gives him orders.

Becoming very annoyed with the author's use of French phrases when the story is in London. Was he trying to impress his editor with his knowledge of French?

FBI Director Hoover puts Oppenheimer the man who built the Atomic Bomb that won the World War 2 under strict surveillance because Hoover thinks he will defect to the Soviet Union!!

Oppenheimer unwittingly hires two Soviet spies (Fuchs & Hall) at Los Alamos, both have high level secrets on the A-bomb.
