This is yet another one that I'm reading for work... and yet, it's such a beloved one that does it even count as work? I'm certainly not mad that I get to revisit it and see it through new eyes.

Here we go, another one to add to my little pile of books read for work that I had no idea existed before now. This one is as old as my father, so that's a bit of a funny thought for me xD

"Legends, now - they go deep down and bring up the heart of a story."4

Funnily enough, this book is reminding me a tiny bit of The Scorpio Races. I was not expecting that.

"'Well, what's stopping us?'
'Fear. Also fear. Plus... fear.'
'So let's be afraid together.'"

That's actually really sweet.

Yet another book I'm reading for work xD But it does seem like a fairly nice adventure to end the year with.

Well, that was more enjoyable and relatable than I was expecting.

This mystery is so good!

Alright, I'm into the mystery. I like Tee a lot.

Another one I'm reading more in a teacher's capacity than anything else. Sounds interesting, though.

This is more interesting than I had expected.

"Yes, Szeth did find something to do with the spoon. He threw it at [redacted], hitting him square in the forehead."

Lol, Szeth is becoming such a mood.

I'm reading this with my ten-year-old pupil, and it's pretty interesting so far.

"Our damage control needs damage control."

Oh, that is an iconic line *she says through clenched teeth to not scream*

"That malfunctioning cretin existed to cause trouble for everyone in a thousand-mile radius..."

Lol, this one sent me LOL.

"No, he'd tested that. It didn't know his deepest thoughts, his deepest plans. For if it did know his heart, it wouldn't be working with him."

For some reason, this makes me both giddy and unnerve for what it means. I just don't like it.

"His clock was still ticking down, but his numbered days followed a different schedule now."

Well, that is so poetic and romantic and I love it *teary-eyed*

"Did you know I've never been skiing? I'd like to try it one day, though."

Iconic. Simply iconic.

"He saw his future in every shot fired and deflected, every point stole and thwarted, and he could barely breathe through his excitement."

Tears in my eyes. Chills. This moment makes my heart grow ten sizes, I swear.

I love them all so much 😭
