Eric, wow, chapter 18. Well done. A glorious climax to WW's twenty battle to end the slave trade in England. What an honor to God he was and you honor him so with this book.

Kirk Manton is on page 38 of 113 of The Ship-Makers: And Other Verses (Classic Reprint)
from the poem A City-Garden,
"Rhythm enrapt to calm through passion's strife,
The tender lover in the honoured wife...

When holy hush to tower and tree doth cling,
When nesting birds with love are on the wing."

To my sweet wife, who I am thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day.

Kirk Manton is on page 145 of 256 of Walking on Water: Reflections on Faith and Art
Chapter 8 starts out, How dies one separate the art from the artist?"

A very good question, if you care about goodness what do you do with a Wagner - or others who create beauty but don't personify it themselves. In the first paragraph she also points to Bach and Frost...

Boy I am looking forward to exploring this topic with Ms. L'Engle for I wrestle with this question as well.
