I can't explain how the writing is putting me off but there's something about it that seems to be keeping me at arm's length. I don't think its the fact that it repeats itself a but (everyone blames the person who tells the truth etc.)

it might just be the telling and not showing aspect idk - its like the issue I had with poppy war in that it felt like character traits were explained and not shown through actions
