Got stuck into this yesterday and am already more than a quarter through. I think this is a new favourite series. Very reminiscent of the Cal MacDonald series written by Steve Miles.

I love that I'm only at 38% and I'm enjoying this book so much. It's the best feeling when you find a book you really enjoy and turning each page (or loading each page) is a pleasure.

Sometimes it can be so hard to find a really good book you can just lose yourself in. I've picked up and discarded a few recently (I didn't even make it through the first chapter of one so-called NYT Bestseller). But am at no risk of putting Slippery Creatures down any time soon.

I'm so glad to finally have my hands on the fourth instalment! Only a few pages in and I'm already hooked.

I stayed up until 2am reading last night. May have been because it's such a compelling read. May also have been because I was a little bit scared and couldn't get to sleep 😅

Camilla is definitely an Aries. I relate to her so much 🥲

Welcome to plot twist city! I feel proud for actually guessing one of the wild twists so far, but Megan O'keefe is the Queen of wild plot twists and I'm not even halfway through the book yet, so I'm sure there's plenty more coming!

I cannot put this down. The only thing I have planned this long weekend is reading this book and finishing it.

This is the second time I'm reading this book and I think I'm enjoying it even more than the first time I read it.

Didn't even realise how late I'd stayed up reading last night as I was so engrossed.

I remember enjoying this when I was younger but I'm having a really hard time getting through it now. A great concept but there is way too much description about shit like what people are wearing, so I've juat started skipping these rambling sections. Also, female characters are starkly, disconcertingly lacking. I'm struggling but I'm going to keep trying to get through it!

Yep so I started the new hear off with Beverly Jenkins and Courtney Milan. Then I decided I needed to switch things up and read something other than romance. I got past chapter 1 of the Shape of Darkness WHICH IS BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN but then decided it was too grim for me 😅 so now we're back to romance.

I am OBSESSED with this book. I'm enjoying it even more than the first in the series. OBSESSED, I TELL YOU.

I'm enjoying the story so far, but the author's habit of suddenly switching between perspectives is driving me bonkers. I know a lot of writers do it, but it's a pet peeve of mine and I've actually stopped reading other books because of it. But I'll keep soldiering through the first book in the series, if only because I liked the series so much.

This is such cathartic isovacation reading.

Sweet baby Jaysus, I can not put this down. I want to. But I can't. It's so wrong and so right.
