It's so good I had to read/listen to it again

It's been about 10 years since I read books 1 & 2. There's a lot of angst at the beginning of the story, I'm hoping it's not a heavy story.

I didn't know there was so much action/drama! I thought this was a "Darcy got hit by a tree branch" sort of story!

I'm finding Atlas more Victorian-minded than regency. He's very stuffy. I get that he's not one of the ton, and that they were more moral, but I've already rolled my eyes at him

I'm not a big fan of Pamela Aiden's triolog, but reading her story as a Janeite has lead me to look less critically at it.

The JAFF story "Slip of the Tongue" was just referenced. Has anyone read it, and could direct me to it?

The opening scene is one of the best hooks I've ever read!

I like this strong Jane. I like where this is going!

Oh I like this. It is following the story close enough, but with enough changes to make it more than a re-read.

I enjoyed the first novel so much! I hope she redeems herself.

This book is saddddd. And a lot like A Christmas Carol.

Remind me not to read modern retellings. Its not bad, just not my thing.

This is really well written. I hate almost all of the characters (Colins, Lydia, etc) and I feel so much sympathy for Elizabeth for having to host them.

I was right about the trope, and even though I'm only half-way, I feel like this story has gone on forever.

This Elizabeth and Darcy move fast! I feel there's a trope coming along. I feel the seed has been ~planted~.

Oh my, the compromise was just revealed to Lady Catherine and I nearly chortled. Extremely satisfying.

There have been so many chances for either of them to be redeemed or to grow. They've grown a smidge, but really it's two steps forward and one step back.

Aminadra did a good job redeeming Mr. Collins and Lady Catherine in previous books, but I'm not too sure how she's going to make Wickham and Lydia remotely likeable. She's doing an excellent job characterizing them as the selfish pair that they are.

So halfway through the book we learn that the first half is basically Nick's manuscript. UGH!

Kindle says there's another 6 hours and 12 minutes in this book, which seems outrageous to me, but I love every sentence all the same!

"There’s Colonel Brandon, a taciturn, deeply feeling man who at thirty-five might as well be wrapped up in a sarcophagus for all that Marianne can see in him." - I laughed out loud. I'm loving this.

"Fitzwilliam declared that if he had a daughter who had fallen in love with a poet, he would certainly enter into a decline, so he could not argue with Elizabeth’s decision.". HAHAHAHA!

For some reason Goodreads thinks I've read this already, when it's just my first time reading it, and I can't fix it. >:(
