Oh yeah, still thoroughly enjoying the book.

Ah Mick, so glad you came to your senses.

The writing is exhausting, full of cliches, and has zero originality.

Huh, I had no idea this is a reread. Mind, that was 8 years ago and all I remembered was the cover looked familiar. Good news, even eight years later, the writing and storytelling holds up. I’m enjoying the heck out of it.

Doing another reread since this is very much a comfort-read for me, albeit a very spicy one…

Why is this so slapstick and farcical? Why did no one warn me? Why the hype? Note to self: never fall for the hype. NEVER!!!

Aside from the story sounding ridiculous and it's so trope-heavy and bonkers, the female narrator (I'm assuming) has made a deliberate choice to pitch the heroine's character in the upper squeaky high pitch hurt your ears register. It is literally hurting my ears and my brain to listen to her.

Wow, the heroine's narrator's voice is like nails on a chalk board and all that bubblegum false cheer is making me want to hurl something. Preferably her, out a window. I don't think I'm gonna make it through this book. Hero's narrator's voice is awesome though.

I'm sad this is over. I've run out of Toni Anderson's backlist, so I guess I'll need to go back and start from the beginning with Alex Parker. Hero of all heroes.

The ending was weird and abrupt.

And yes, I do like Tripp even as nutso as he is. Vida is a little too naive for my taste. It’s kind of a weird take on the Cinderella trope.

Not nearly as bonkers as previous books and I’m enjoying that it’s longer than previous books too. Still not sure if the whole bet thing will come back to bite him on the ass tho. We shall see…

This series of books has the worst blurbs ever. They tell me nothing about the contents of the book and what to expect. It’s like someone must randomly jotted down a couple sentences as notes and called it a day and then never bothered to update them in a decade.

Doing a reread since I flew through this book the first time and I want to savor it now that I know what’s happening.

This entire series is adorable and so fun. Loving it.

The premise had so much potential, but the writing was static and bland. And so much telling. Should have checked the Goodreads rating before downloading it and being disappointed. The tenses in the writing could use a good edit too. It bounces all over the place and makes my brain hurt.

WTH? The book finished at 77% and the rest of it was the beginning of the next book? How is this even allowed?

I’m gonna call it. If the story doesn’t improve and become less wackadoodle, this one is gonna be a three-star read.

Well, this just got strange and took a little waltz into bizzaro land. The whole plot just got so far fetched that even suspending disbelief is taking a lot of effort and it’s not quite working.

Okay, wow, I was not expecting Everly’s brothers to do that. Also, I have my suspicions who the bomber might be.

This is delightful. So nice to have a low angst, feel good book to listen to.

Kurt and Ro are my second most favorite couple in this series after Alex and Mallory.

Oh lordy, this book has my heart pounding and I can't put it down. Or rather, I can't turn it off since I'm listening to the audiobook. I'll probably either need a break after this one or go right to the next book.

Such a fabulously fun book. Remi stole my heart. I want to know what she grows up to become. I bet she’s going to be awesome.

Finally getting to this book. It’s been in my TBR forever. And I’m so glad to be reading it. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy the writing and how readable it is.

I had completely forgotten how completely bonkers the story and plot of this book was. I wonder if I felt the same way the first time I read it or if I was just along for the ride and insane entertainment?

Omg! This book is so well written and adorable. I love, love, love Remi. Audiobooking it and the narration is fabulous.

Erik Mok made me feel everything that Kai felt. All the heartbreak, all the grief, all the sadness, all the weariness. It made my heart ache at the pain of it, and it made my soul glad for the beauty of the words, and it made my spirit soar at the immensity of his talent.

Erik Mok's performance and narration, esp his portrayal of Kai. Fabulous and I am so in love with Kai, but also so sad for him.
