i really admire the author's choice to frame ansky's biography through what she is interpreting as an intensely homoerotic lifelong friendship he had. (not to disregard everything else for rpf, i'm really enjoying the lens of ansky's own fictional works to interpret his irl experiences too) (but ultimately this book is about S. Ansky, Bisexual Disaster
