Really liking Emily 's character so far. It's odd for a book to make me this emotional so early, but this book has set up such a relatable experience in the first 2 chapters that it,s already easy to sympathise with our main character. Getting a real Ready Player One vibe from the world , but there's enough little differences established early to individualise it.

I didn't know what I expected would happen when Aelin met Chaol, but I loved it. It shows how they both vastly changed. Chaol is now thinking for himself rather than following blindly. While Aelin is now thinking of herself first, causing two characters that I thought had some really great insight but never truly acted on it to but heads as they butt heads on fairly equal emotional footing.

Officially my favourite book in the series. Pisses me off that school's started and I don't have as much time to read.
