Wollstonecraft: English writer and feminist. Her A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (1792) defied assumptions about male supremacy and championed educational equality for women. In 1797 she married William Godwin and died shortly after giving birth to their daughter Mary Shelley.

I'm not really sure WHEN this book is set. There's no ambulance in the beginning, but one about 75% through. A wood burning stove. The illustrations show a puffer coat.

Already continuity errors. Aurora tells Tom the sea is impassable and the only way there is magic. Two pages later Tom is on his way to the shore to hire a boat bc Aduro is too weak to magic him to the shore. What?

Well there's a little stab of memory for me in this book too, as her boyfriend tells her she often smells like rotted plants because her house does. I'd once been told I sometimes smelled bad, and in retrospect it was probably due to the dust and thick smoke of my parents house.

The description says she was raised by "survivalists" but it would be more accurate to call them Paranoid Religious. A desire to survive without the government was only a symptom. Fear of Illuminati? Skin above the ankle is immodest? Dancing in a leotard in a sin?

A lovely history of bird and raptor Origins, but no owls!
