I am close to finishing this book, the first one out of the 22. I feel excited and sad because I have enjoyed so much of the moments shared with me that it hurts to close this book.

It's been a whirlwind leading up to this page. She has gone through IT! Mariah Carey always inspires me, but this book makes you realize that everyone has to go through something to keep fighting for their dreams. I am sad to finish this book soon because it has brought me so much joy. Her story and experiences make me feel like I am one of her girlfriends. I can't wait to start Part III 🦋 All That Glitters.

I sat down the other day and realized that I was reading the memoir of one of my first favorite musicians. It feels surreal because she shares almost every moment of her life with the reader, and I love it. I love how even though the world has been rough for her so far, she still finds a way to keep her fantastical thoughts and ideas. I can't wait to read more! Also, I hate that I am close to finishing it.

So far, it has been emotional. I have read about Mariah's childhood and the harsh realities of growing up as a biracial child in a broken family. If you are a fan of Ms. Mariah Carey, you love everything about her— voice, style, confidence, but here, you meet someone different (Little Mariah). You see who she was before becoming the sensation you know and love and how she knew she was somewhat different from others.

I took a break from reading it because that's what I usually do when I become too consumed with a book, so I won't lose my interest in it. But recently, I have started back up reading it, and it is going well, to be honest.
