i am oddly comforted to know that the story goes back to the pirate and the girl eventually, bc i am attached to them and i want everything to turn out well in their lives

I'm regretting not re-reading the original trilogy before diving into this book. I feel like I'm missing things. Still enjoying it!! But for anyone else, re-read the original trilogy.

It has just occurred to me that I don’t have a bookmark, and (as much as I would like to) I can’t sit here until I finish the book.

I don’t think I’ll be able to handle it if something terrible happens to Seivarden or Breq. (Also the author’s word processor must have hated all of these names.)

Knowing who doesn't make it out alive is really curbing the appeal of this book :/
