I am really enjoying the story of this novel but the endless bickering is so annoying I want to throw the book out the window. Senseless tropification if you ask me, especially since the plot had strong legs to stand on its own and would have appealed to people without said tropification.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish this one. SA stuff is one of the few topics I struggle hard with, being a survivor myself. Still, I am intrigued by the story and I wonder how the prologue ties into the story. Hopefully it gets less graphic down the road.

Also being a woman is terrifying, but being a woman when most women died is a fresh hell I feel I should have saved some money before reading about, because I will need the services of a mental health professional after this book.
