I’m so happy my local library is full of so many books.

Definitely considering DNF’ing this it’s not my thing at all, but I’m curious to find out if there’s a reason why so many people rated it so high

I’m on book buying ban and trying to read as many books on bookshelf as possible and this was what I picked up first. Feels strange reading a book set at Xmas in 25 degree weather but hey ho.
I thought it was murder mystery type thing but is more along the lines of internal monologue and commentary on society. Not not enjoying it

Fuck yeah. Same vibes as Percival Everett but with an even more sadistic taste. Totally unhinged satirical fiction to illustrate the history of white supremacy and slavery in America

It’s a murder mystery, 100+ pages in and still don’t know who’s died or who’s investigating. Having said that, I’m very much enjoying it

Listening to audiobook
Is v good! V unhinged
A lot of mention of « clearing bowels »
I kinda hate the narrator which is good I think

Audiobook’s really good so far! V funny

Page turner! Needed a real scary story

Found this in a charity shop. What can I say, the title caught my eye

Nabokov slowly becoming one of my favourite authors
I have pale fire on the shelf and I am excited for that one too
His prose is beautiful, his sentences so cleverly crafted, a lot of his sentiments towards the world close to mine

Not even joking I’ve started having some of the scariest most vivid nightmares of my life since picking this book up and the horror is only getting worse so I’m terrified of going to sleep tonight
