Appreciate his take on Bermuda Triangle, healthy dose of rationality there.

As a lifelong Georgian, really really appreciate the chapter on Lake Lanier. You couldn't pay me to jump into Lake Lanier if I was on fire. They don't call it the lake that eats people for nothing.

I enjoy the Map Men's YouTube channel, and I enjoyed this book a lot towards the beginning, but it gets really shticky in spots, and that rapidly loses its charm for me. I lost what patience I had left with it in Chapter Ten, and at this point im just trying to finish the book because the sunk cost fallacy is a real thing. Speaking of cost, glad I caught it on sale, would be mad if I'd paid full price.

I'm 40 pages in and already this book is really hard to read emotionally, and she hasn't even *met* Eps***n yet. Good God, this poor girl never had a chance.

Utterly engrossing and "unputdownable," though I hate that word.

Yikes. Really really high on the skeeve factor.

I can already tell you that none of my aunties love me this much. Even if they did, I wouldn't trust them to keep their mouths shut.
