This well-paced technothriller has managed to keep me awake for hours. I missed reading a book that kept me tied in!

Over half-way through his second novel and I could finally infer that the name of the main character, Erlendur, is in fact a first name.

I kept waiting for this "famous bestseller" to pick up pace, but I'm a quarter of the way through and it's not happening. The reader is assumed to be familiar with all the major players, and it took me a few tens of pages to learn that one of them was a female, and that only accidentally. The English translation makes all characters speak identically which is not helpful either. Hope things will improve later on!
